The 1971-1976 GM scissor top cars use an electric motor and drive cables to operate the top, this is the gear reduction unit that attaches to the electric drive motor, the drive cables attach to this unit.

This gear reduction unit is all new with new plastic gears (same as original), new aluminum housing and a new machined steel drive pin that the drive cables attach to.

This gear reduction unit fits all 1971-1976 full size GM 'scissor top' cars like the 1971-1976 Buick LeSabre and Centurion, the 1971-1976 Cadillac Eldorado, the 1971-1976 Chevrolet Impala and Caprice, the 1971-1976 Oldsmobile 88, Delta 88 and Delta 88 Royale as well as the 1971-1976 Pontiac Catalina, Grandville and Grandville Brougham.
