NOTE: Starting in 1965 Chevrolet changed the Corvair from the hydraulic top system to a mechanical drive. This system consisted of an electric motor with attached gearbox, 2 lime green drive cables that went to each side of the car and attached to the actuators that moved the top up and down. Keeping up with GM's 'ahead of its time' attitude for the Corvair you will be able to find this same electric motor and attached gearbox used in all of the 1971-76 full size GM cars.
